February 1, Pryor's Merc, owned by Howard and Gwen Pryor, became Mlnersvllle General Merc, when new owners, Richard and Penny Albrecht, took over operation. "My grandfather, Fred R. Pryor, started this business In 1906," said Howard. "My dad, Frank Pryor, bought It from his mother. I bought it from him In 1946." "We've enjoyed the store and our many friends and patrons. pa-trons. We've had some great help. Hene Gray has been employed with us nearly thirty years. Dixie Pearson, eleven." Pryor has served two terms on Mlnersvllle Town Council, been Mayor, County Commissioner, Commander of the American Legion, Tail Twister for the Lions, and worked in many other civic and church groups. 1 He and Gwen have been strong supporters sup-porters of Mlnersvllle and Beaver County. Richard Albrecht, Mlnersvllle Mln-ersvllle native, is a graduate of Beaver High. He served serv-ed a LDS Mission in the Cumorah, New York area, then graduated from SUSC.
