Don has been playing on the National Tour for 25 years with a total of 40 years experience. He be-began be-began his tour this year in September in Mississippi. He plays for about a million pepple each year. ; He showed a Concert Ac - cordian which was handmade hand-made and sells for around $2,000. Selections were William Wil-liam Tell Overture, Aquarius, Aquar-ius, Romeo & Juliet, Hey, Jude, Gunsmoke Theme , The Seniors will have their annual "Sluff Day" at Lagoon La-goon this Thursday. Sounds like fun. Vocational Day at SUSC , was well attended by BHS i students. Then hedem-Dnstrated hedem-Dnstrated his solid-state ac-cordian, ac-cordian, made in Germany, of which there are only 18 in the U.S. It can be made to sound like a banjo, organ, guitar, pipe organ, etc. It was an enjoyable assembly. The Girls Regional Track Meet was held in Beaver last week. Included were Bryce Valley, Enterprise, Cedar City, Escalante, So. Sevier, South Sanpete and others. Our girls did very well and all the schools had fine quality participants . The following girls from BHS will go to the State Meet at Snow College on May 15: Terrie Hutchings, 2nd in the 60 yard hurdles;Carol Baldwin, Bald-win, 4th in the 880; Char--lotte Joseph, Teri Smith, Terrie Hutchings, and Colleen Col-leen Truman for the 440 yard relay; Kaylene Eyre, 2nd in javelin; Cherice Gale, 3rd in running long jump. Congratulations to all par- ticipants. B- Step tryouts were judged by the Senior B-Step members. Girls were judged on a one minute dance routine rou-tine plus kicks, marching, splits, etc. Winners were: Carol Ann Baldwin, Bonnie Baker, Karolyn Gale, Nanette Nan-ette Smith, Pam Wright, Debra Smith, Katherine Carter, Suzanne Bradshaw, Cindy Webster, Susan Harris, Har-ris, Shari Olpin, Lisa Blackburn. Black-burn. Alternates are Sandy Lessing and Lori Taylor. Our Rodeo Club sent two members to St. George for the Dixie High School Rodeo. Ro-deo. Chris Gale rode bulls and Rodney Bradshaw rode the bareback broncs. |
