Kirk and mama Pat drove to attend the musical festival. Then he returned and won the election for Vice President in the sophomore class for next school year. ; Amid cries, Chad Williams Wil-liams arrived on the 19th of April. The parents, Becky and Bill, were so pleased, that Milford really knew of the good news. Grandparents, Grandpar-ents, Austin and Arvilla, are so thrilled to have a new one to spoil. Becky's folks were here for a week from Las Vegas to help, too. Donna Corey and two children chil-dren were down for Easter and Brandi got new clothes ! and colored eggs. Wow!! Our gal, Judi, husband Gary West and two grandchildren grand-children were down from Salt Lake also, and they found those funny colored eggs. Even grandpa Fred I found one. Our other daugh- J ters were unable to come down as one of our grandsons grand-sons had those darn measles. They'll come soon, I hope. We miss each and everyone every-one of them . Kristy Berger, of Baker, Nevada, went on a tour with other high schoolers to Washington, D.C. last month. They flew back and then bussed to Williamsburg. They did lots of sightseeing and looking until her eyeballs eye-balls were like road maps. She returned home tired, but so happy at seeing stuff the rest of us only read about. Of most local interest -Rheta's grill flame went out. Not too many made it over Easter to go through the caves. Better plan for a weekend soon. We just got turned around from Easter and we had to pack to head for the Nevada Lions Convention in Winne-mucca. Winne-mucca. We left early Wednesday Wed-nesday the 28th and Fred attended his club meeting of which he will be President Presi-dent next year. Then we drove on to Elko for the night. With that time change, Utah time and Nevada time, the dogs and Fred were really time confused. Me, I'm always confused. So it was early (5 a.m.) when we all got up. On to the convention. conven-tion. With all the food and slots and things, we really had a grand three days, but glad as always to get home to the peace. When we arrived in Win-nemucca, Win-nemucca, there, right on main street, stood Fred Baker. Bak-er. Wife Betty had a JP's convention, so Fred went along, too. They flew over there in their pretty red and white plane. Betty attended meetings and Fred caught up on his sleep and reading. Donna Corey and two children chil-dren were down again for a day and then off to Arizona to visit Blanche and Earl Yersin for a time. She went south, so Bud and Gen Richardson, Rich-ardson, thinking traveling a good idea, went to Salt Lake. They had doctor appointments, appoint-ments, too. Dave Berger, of Baker, was in an accident and was flown to Salt Lake. He is doing so much better, that he ' may be able to return home by this weekend. We all hope for the best. On Wednesday, the valley only had about two living people in it. Most were in Fillmore to say goodbye to "RED, SHOOT MY PICTURE": A common plea whenever county youngsters catch the editor with camera in hand. This group of kindergarteners gladly posed on the monkey bars one day last week. We'd like to identify them, but don't know them all.
