Show 24 hour service gone in Milford Milford residents who have been spoiled for many years with access to a 24-hour 24-hour restaurant, will no longer have that convenience. The Hong Kong Cafe, who has always maintained 24-hour 24-hour service to take care of the Union Pacific Railroad Rail-road train crews, will close their doors from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., starting tonight to-night (Thursday). The railroad has installed a radar range at the depot and will serve tv dinners and quick sandwiches to out-of-town crews, according to informed sources. Tommy Yee,1 who operates the Hong Kong , said that difficulty in hiring help is a contributory ' factors, along with inflation. The railroad has subsidized the restaurant restau-rant for a number of years, to keep them open during the early morning hours when there was not enough business busi-ness to warrant staying open. The closure will mark the first time the restaurant has been closed in many years. No one knows for sure how many, but it will go back beyond be-yond the present location and several owners. , Mr. Yee says the Hong Kong will offer full restaurant restau-rant service of American and Chinese food, sandwiches sandwich-es and breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. |
