Show j ... - , x i' ' : " j JOLYN DOTSON RICKY JARVIS MILFORD STATE BANK AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS The Milford State Bank announced the recipients of their annual scholarship award this week, according to Vice President and Cashier Cash-ier J. H. Davis. The scholarships, worth $400, are given annually to two students from Milford High School and two from Beaver High School by the bank and its Beaver City Branch. Those receiving scholarships scholar-ships this year are: Lois Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Price and Mark Short, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Short, both of Milford, Mil-ford, and from Beaver High were Jolyn Dotson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben W. Dotson, Minersville, and Ricky Jarvis, son of Abe and Margaret Boyle. Alternates in case one of the young people cannot use the scholarship are Mary Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart, Milford, and Laurie Kathryn Draper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Draper, Beaver. The scholarships are good at the school of their choice and may be postponed up to a year for certain reasons. GWEN SMITH IN HOSPITAL Mrs. E. L. "Gwen" Smith fell last week in Denver, Colo, and has been in aDen-ver aDen-ver hospital since with ahead injusy. She should be out in a few days, according to Medex Wiseman, and will then be able to answer all the cards and letters received at the time of her husband's (E. L.) death. |
