Show ' jjjmj m mm in mm MONDAY evening, Aug. 19, the Business and Professional Women's Club held a membership member-ship party under direction of membership committee members mem-bers Ella Easton, Annabelle Hales and Lauree Burridge. The party at Ponderosa Park was for new and prospective members. A delicious ham sup-, per was served by a committee j of 33 ladies. After the tasty dinner a short meeting was held, with the club being favored by an address by Mrs. Hilda Gardner of Pan-) guitch, Southern Utah district director of BPW clubs. Mrs. Hazel Stapley, president of the Beaver club, conducted the meeting. j Two prospective members attending at-tending were Mrs. May S. At-; kin and Mrs. Ruth Murdock. WEDNESDAY evening, Aug. 14, the TNT club held their monthly meeting at Kenyon Grove, with square dancing and other dances enjoyed by 40 per-sos. per-sos. Ham, 'fruit salad, rolls, pota-- toes, root beer and cake were served by the committee, Mary Ann Williams, Janell Farrer, Margaret Riley. Mildred Draper Drap-er and Colleen Lee. . THE MODERN MOTHERS Club held their summer party on August 8th on the patio at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ed-win Smith. A hot ham supper was served to 31 members and husbands. Mr. and Mrs. Woody Salter, invited guests, made the meal more tasty with home-smoked home-smoked fish which they added to the menu. The committee for the evening eve-ning included Mrs. Kate Murdock, Mur-dock, Mrs. Euzella Thomas, M Mrs. Hettie Harris, Mrs. Zelma 7 Muir and Mrs. Esta Cox. On Aug. 15th the club met at the home of Mrs. Esta Cox. Edith Harris reviewed the book "Life in These United States," from the Readers' Digest, and Mrs. Cox reviewed "How to Find Happiness." Apple pie a la mode and punch were served to 11 members mem-bers who attended. |
