Show we HORSE RACE PLANNED AS SPICE FOR MILFORD LABOR DAY MEET Two feature attractions are on tap for Beaver County celebrants cel-ebrants on Labor Day, when the Milford Lions stage their annual Labor Day Race Meet. A "wild horse race," with Lund Turner and Milford's Mayor Ray Kizer as the jockeys, jock-eys, will be a feature attraction, attrac-tion, and the co-feature in the specialty class will be a horse-vs.-auto race with Wayne Wiseman riding the bangtail. In the racing department, assurance as-surance of speedy entries has been received from Panguitch, Beaver and Cedar City, to compete com-pete with the best of the racing stock from Minersville, Milford Mil-ford and South Milford. Eight races have been scheduled, sched-uled, in addiion to the specialty events. Post time is 2 p. m. Also on the entertainment agenda will be special enter tainment from Northern Utah for between the races now being be-ing arranged by Jack Ma-honey, Ma-honey, and a horsemanship demonstration by members of the Beaver Riding Club. In connection with the South Milford Fair, drawings will be held for calves, to be given to 4-H Club members, and calves won in previous years will be exhibited. |
