Show Mr. and Mrs. Dale Murdock and children o'f Provo visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Carlos Murdock, last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ash-worth Ash-worth left last Saturday for their home in Kearns after- a week's vacation spent in Beaver at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ashworth and Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis. Visitors last week at the home 'Of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christiansen Chris-tiansen were Mrs. Christiansen s sisters, Mrs. Sheldon Seegmil-ler, Seegmil-ler, Mrs. W. F. Orrock, and Mr. 'and Mrs. Charles Wilson of Richfield. County Attorney John Chris-tensen Chris-tensen has reutrned from a vacation va-cation trip to Swap Stone, Uintah. Mrs. Mary Ann Reese of Paragonah and granddaughter, Mary Dalton, spent Friday in Beaver with her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Morris spent the week end in Salt Lake with their daughter Nancy and other relatives. Mrs. Louise Stubbs of Paro-wan Paro-wan spent Thursday in Beaver with her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Karris. Mrs. Stubbs was accompanied home by her two small sons, who had been visiting their uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob returned Thursday from a week's visit with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Browner, at Norwalk, Cal. They enjoyed a boat trip to Catalina Island, returning by air. BEAVER Personal Mention Claude Goodwin returned home Saturday from the Holy-Cross Holy-Cross Hospital in Salt Lake, where he was a patient for two weeks. Mrs. Heber Atkin underwent surgery last Thursday in the Iron County Hospital. Mrs. At-kin's At-kin's daughters, a son-and his wife were with her at the time. Present were Althea Utley of Idaho, Lottie Hunt of McGill, Nev.; Arvilla Gale and Thelma Holyoak of Cedar City; Louis Carter of Minersville, and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Atkin of Beaver. Karl Boyter was admitted to the Beaver County Hospital last Thursday, with pneumonia. Glen Pickard is in the Iron County Hospital for observation. Elmer Roberts has been a patient pa-tient at the Iron County Hos-' pital for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Haffen o'f Santa Clara visited last Thursday at the Eliza Gunn home. Layton Knops, nephew of Mrs. Eliza Gunn, visited her a few hours one day this week, en route from Japan to his new assignment in Wisconsi. Quenton Gunn returned Friday Fri-day rfom Salt Lake where he spent several days on business. Visiting Mrs. Eliza Gunn last week were grandchildren Jean, Connie, Richard and Tommy Gunn. Dee Patton of California called at the home of Mrs. Mary Goodwin last Friday evening. He was in Beaver attending to business. Mr. Patton, a -brother in law of Bishop Ralph B. Goodwin, Good-win, is bishop of the ward at Hemet, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cox and Harold Shaw spent the week end at Panguich Lake visiting Mrs. Cox's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Orton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Young and son John of Provo were week end visitors at the home of Mrs. Young's brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Baker. Mrs. Ezra Ashworth left Thursday for Salt Lake, and will accompany Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Pederson (Laura Ashworth) Ash-worth) and son to Tacoma, Wash., and Canada. She will be gone for two weeks. Mrs. Verda Parkinson and daughter Revola spent last week in Idaho visiting Mrs. Parkinson's Parkin-son's brother, Ellis Limb. Mrs. Bryant Low underwent surgery Friday morning at the Iron Countv Hospital. Mrs. Leonard Roberts was removed re-moved to Salt Lake Friday for medical attention. Mrs. Joy Payne spent last week in Salt Lake, and while there visited Mr. and Mrs. Swede Johnson (Anna Marie Neilson). Dean Ghuger arrived in Beaver Beav-er last week to join his wife (Helen Easton) after being released re-leased from military service. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Low and two children, Jimmy and Bren-da Bren-da of Salt Lake, accompanied by Bob Low, spent the week end with relatives and" old friends in Beaver. Mrs. Bob Low and daughter Debbie spent a few days last week in Parowan visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant. Miss Claudia Stapley has left for Haywood, Calif., where she will teach school this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murdock Mur-dock spent last week end in Salt Lake visiting and attending attend-ing to business. Max Baxter of Berkeley, Cal., arrived in Beaver Saturday io ispend his vacation visiting his aunts, Mrs. Mary Goodwin and Mrs. Hattie Goodwin, and other relatives and friends after an absence o'f 25 years. While here he is a house guest at the home of Mrs. Josie Skinner, who visited vis-ited him in California. Mrs. LaPrele Lewis and Mrs. Garnetta Hollis of Milford visited vis-ited Saturday with tlxeir mother, moth-er, Mrs. Hattie Goodwin, and brother, Claude Goodwin. Mr. and Mrs. George C. Goodwin of Milford were in Beaver Monday evening, and called at the home of Mrs. Mary-Goodwin. Mary-Goodwin. Gordon Baker returned last week end from a business trip ,to Lancaster, Calif Mr. and Mrs. Owen Rogers and family of Mesa, Ariz., spent last week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Milo Baker. Mrs. Lucille Murdock and Mrs. Gaye Murdock spent last Wednesday at Richfield. |
