Show Richfield Implement Dealer Offers Live Calf As Open House Prize A live, choice Hereford calf will be given away Wednesday, March 11, during the open house at Har-ward Har-ward & Spencer in Richfield, which has been planned to show farmers the new line of Ford Select-O-Speed tractors. Ritch Harward of Harward & Spencer sadd the calf, along with four other valuable prizes, will be given to someone who visits their showrooms th.it day and most accurately ac-curately estimates the weight o! the live calf. In addition to the prizes, refreshments re-freshments and movie entertainment entertain-ment will be on the docket, with favors for the ladies, from 10 a. m. to 6 p. im., with everyone invited. The new line of tractors being introduced are equipped with an independent power take-off system, sys-tem, which is engaged by a push-pull push-pull (handle adjacnet to the Select-O-Speed lever. Dee Allred, service manager for Harward & Spencer, said, "In my opinion, this new Se-lect-O-Speed transmission is the greatest advance in tractor operating oper-ating convenience sinoe Ford introduced in-troduced the three-point rear implement im-plement linkage and the built-in hydraulic system 20 years ago." The new models feature a small selector lever which the tractor operator can shift to or through any of ten forward and two reverse re-verse gears without stopping and without using a clutch pedal. "We want everyone to join in our open house," Mr. Harward said, "not only to see the new tractor models, but to participate in the calf awards and other highlights we are featuring." |
