Heslington. A suiiit belonging to the late Louis Schwob and owned by his son, Otto Schwob of Beaver, was worn by Trainman Eyre. More than 75 years old, the coat featured a brown velveteen collar and vest. Delightful felt poke - bonnets tninnmed with flowers were worn by Nellie Hollingshead and Reva Albrecht, whose husbands' heads were adorned. Outstanding heard growths were displayed by Garold Eyre, Ray Davis, Ty Gillins, Milton Albrecht, Marshall Hollingshead, Lee Marshall, Mar-shall, Wlilford Robinson and others, oth-ers, not to mention the artistic curls and colored sideburns sport ed lby Heber Gillins, Shady Carter Thunman Eyre and Dale Eyre. Queen Shirleen Davis, a student stu-dent at CSU, was present for the affair along with an attendant, attend-ant, Miss Nancy Marshall. The evening was highly successful, success-ful, everyone had! a grand time, and enough Imoney was obtained from the sale of lunches to pay for the orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker visited vis-ited in St. George Monday, returning return-ing late that evening. They -greatly enjoyed visiting Mr. and Mrs Henry Baker; Mr. Baker 'has been ill. Clyde Hollins'head was a weekend week-end visitors from Salt Lake at the home of Stephen Hollingshead. A fine patriotic program in observance of the birth anniversary anniver-sary of George Washington was sponsored by the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary Sunday evening in the LDS Chapel under direction direc-tion of President Mrs. Virginia Marshall. ..The Singing Mothers participated along with winning essay writers Miss Mary Lou Bradfield, Brad-field, Miss Pamela Davis and Ronald Ron-ald Myers. Other numbers included includ-ed a solo by Mrs. Reva Williams, and a number by the quartet, Let Marshall, Mart Davis, Milton Al-brecht Al-brecht and Harold Baker. Th ' colors were presented by Boy Scouts Kenneth Hollnigshead anci Richard Limb. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre, accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Sheral Carter, traveled to Las Vegas on Tuesday, where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Carter, former Minersville residents. The occasion was Mrs. Carter's birthday. birth-day. Omitted from last week's news: Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Farrer and family visibed briefly at the home of Mi-, and Mrs. Bill Wood last week. The Farrers are from Sal Lake, where Mr. Farrer is assistant assist-ant superintendent in 'the Granite School District. They were en route to California for a vacation. Mrs. Betty Marshall and family, fam-ily, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Gus Lambson, visited one day last week W'irth a sister in Springville. Twenty babies were examined by Dr. McQuarrie and Nurse Dian McCulley at the well baby clinic Tuesday. Mrs. Melba Baker, secretary, sec-retary, Who donates her services, stated that the turnout was very pleasing. The state pays the fee for the doctor for one or two clinics clin-ics a year, and others are sponsored spon-sored by the Relief Society and Legion Le-gion Auxiliary. - Donations to help defray the cost will be welcomed by these organizations. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson have returned from a vacation to Salt Lake and Provo, where a new grandson arrived! Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Roo-inson, Roo-inson, totaling 12 grandchildren for the Wilford Robinsons. Mrs. Edna Mecham is seriously ill in the Milford Hospital, following follow-ing a slight stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thompson, accompanied by .Mrs. Linda Mecham, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waters of Salt Lake called upon Edna during the week. A film., "Prevention of Blindness," Blind-ness," was shown to about 25 persons per-sons in the Relief Society (room Wednesday evening by Chairman Mrs. Shirley Hollingshead. Bishop Hollingshead operated the projector. project-or. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor, accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and - Mrs. Bill Pryor of Beaver, are on an extended extend-ed trip to Franaio, Old Mexico, . where they will vacation and visit Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Mick) Pryor. Pry-or. Mick is on a .three-year contract con-tract mining job. En route tire group attended the dedication ceremony cer-emony of the Glen Canyon Dam bridge, and en route home will visit Mr. 'and Mrs. Grant Pryor at Tucson, Ariz. O Mrs. Joanne Eyre was hostess to her pinochle club Wednssday evening, eve-ning, attended by 12 ladies. Prizes were won by Connie Marsahll, Sue Davis and Bonnie Myers. Strawberry Straw-berry shortcake and hot chocolate were served to the group, e Karl Truman was one of the few from Minersville who helped welcome wel-come the touring legislators at Beaver Sunday. e Mrs. Leona Roberts is here car ing for her daughter Elinor, who has been able to return to her home.
