Show Mrs. Mattie Dearden Dies in Salt Lake Mrs. Mattie Heckathorn Dearden, Dear-den, 75, died in a Salt Lake hospital hos-pital Teusday of natural causes. She had lived in Salt Lake since moving there from Garrison several sev-eral years ago. She was formerly postmistress at Garrison. Mrs. Dearden was born Nov. 29, 1SS3, in Fairfield, Idaho, to Erastus and Mary Gandy Heckathorn. Hecka-thorn. ' She married Thomas D. Dearden in 1929. He died in 1948. She was a member of the Presbyterian Pres-byterian 'Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. P. (Lola) Johansen, Salt Lake, Mrs. Arthur C. (Lillian) Ryan, Los Angeles; three stepsons, James, Lee, and Vivian Dearden. Garrison; Garri-son; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Myrtle Jennings, Ogdenr Mrs. Claude Warner, Oren, and Mrs. Cecil Warner, Delta. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted at 2:30 p. m. Friday at 574 East First South, Salt Lake. Entombment En-tombment will be in Mt. View Mausoleum, Oakland, Calif. In lieu of flowers friends so wishing may contribute to the . Cancer Research Fund. I |
