Show Mauri Rollins Named Beaver Guard Queen Mauri Rollins of Milford was named Miss Beaver National Guard at the annual Military Ball held at Beaver last Saturday. Satur-day. She had earned the title at a Queen Pageant Wednesday evening eve-ning in the Firmage Theatre, in competition with other Beaver County candidates. Queen Mauri was crowned by Lt Col. Max Dalley of Parowan. Runners-up, and attendants to Miss Rollins, are Janet Hofheins of Beaver and Gayle Edwards of Milford. Special guests at the Military Ball were Col. Dalley, Maj. Claude Thompson, army advisor to the ba-talion, ba-talion, First Lt. Paul Warby, MSgt. Gaylord Whitney, and S F C Elmer Davis, assistant to Major Thompson. Miss Rollins will leave Cedar City Friday afternoon, a passenger in Gen. Rich's National Guard plane, to compete in the state fin als at Salt Lake. |
