Seven bands entertained from noon to sundown, with fireworks capping the day. The groups were "Eddie Hester," "The Acrobat," "Bugsey Malone," "The Jack," "Civilizations," "Oily Boys," and "Ontario." Temperatures were in the 80's and a lot of bare skin was exposed to the blazing rays. The "Barrell of Fun" carnival was a hit with big kids and little kids. The ferris wheel, moon walk, octopus, and scrambler were the main attractions. photo by Donna Layton |
