Show BUXKEBVIU.E. We are having more rain. Death came to the home of Thomas H. Adams and wife on Tuesday,- taking from them one of their three-weeks-old twins. Old folks day, on Tuesday was a success. suc-cess. In the morning the old folks were taken for a drive, At 12 o'clock they were brought to the School house, where a bounteous repast had been prepared pre-pared for them. Here all over sixty years old were presented with badges and boquets. All seemed to enjoy themselves them-selves as they chatted about "old times" before they had gathered from their native lands" to live in Utah, and the hard times that followed their arrival here. Sister Emily Bunker wore a lawn dress made thirty years ago, and a silk shawl woven in England fifty years ago, by Bro. John Pymm of St. George. After dinner the general public gathered in, and a short program pro-gram was rendered, after which the old folks were driven home for an hour's rest. They were driven back in the evening, when, after a short play by the Mesquite M. I. A,, a dance was given. At the party, the old folks were the honored guests, and some of them danced as "in the days of yore." As they tired they were driven home in carriages. |
