Show HURRICANE Cathren Riding Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Harry Otto from Lumbord, Illinois are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Webb. Mrs. Emil Graff is spending a few days in Salt Lake City, with her daughter, Dawn, who is attending at-tending school there. Mrs. Eva Webb entertained last Thursday for her mother, whose birthday was May 7th. The afternoon aft-ernoon was spent in reminiscing and listening to music. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served to the following women: Mrs. Mary J. Cox, Mrs. Lovina Berry, Mrs. Susie Su-sie Stansworth, Mrs. Harriet E. Lee, Mrs. Mary Hirschi, Mrs. Grace Pritchett, Mrs. Augusta E. Hinton, Mrs. Nellie Woodbury, Mrs. Mary Adams, Mrs. Augusta Anderson, Mrs. Ruesch, and Mrs. F. J. Palmer and Mrs. Dan Hea-ton Hea-ton of Cedar City. Malin Gibson went to Salt Lake City Sunday for a few days' visit. Miss Inez Gibson, Miss Lorraine Heaton and Miss Jean Riding accompanied ac-companied him. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Fannin and son, Joe, visited here with Mrs. Fannin's aunt, Mrs. J. H. Riding Rid-ing on Friday. The Jolley Stitchers met Friday Fri-day at the home of Mrs. Lizzie Workman. The afternoon was spent in quilting. Those present were: Mrs. Grace Jepson, Mrs. Martha Isom, Mrs. Ada Imlay, Mrs. Sarah Hinton, Mrs. Mary Adams, Mrs. Mattie Spendlove, Mrs. Fanny Sanders, Mrs. La-Verne La-Verne Campbell, and Mrs. Nellie Woodbury. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Mat-tie Mat-tie Spendlove, when the time will be spent in knitting for the Red Cross. Mrs. Eldrow Reeves of New Brunswick, N. J., is visiting at the home of Mr. Reeves' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves. Miss Ruth Wall went to Las Vegas for a short visit last week. Miss Florence Imlay came from Salt Lake City, where she is employed, em-ployed, for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Ada Imlay. Mr. and Mrs. Finley Judd are spending a few days in Los Angeles. An-geles. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Steele of Burbank, Calif., spent Tuesday with Mr. Steele's aunt, Mrs. J. H. Riding. They were returning home from a trip to Leadore, Ida. Workmen are busy stuccoing the Zion Park stake house. They have completed painting the roof and have almost finished painting the interior of the building. Mr. and Mrs. Glen P. Woodbury Wood-bury are moving to Provo, where Mr. Woodbury is employed. P. L. Christensen from Los Angeles is staying at Hurricane for a few weeks, while taking baths at the hot springs. |
