Show Ernest Pulsipher Wins Two Firsts In Logan Track Meet LOGAN, Utah. First in the mile and first in the two-mile, were the top-notch records made by Ernest Pulsipher, in the western division college track meet held here, Monday, May 18, two difficult diffi-cult races and both coming as surprises to the forecasters, it is understood. Ernest is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brooks of this city, and hails originally from Bunkerville. Ernest is rated with one of the finest performances of the entire day, covering the four laps in four minutes, 28.9 seconds, and in the two-mile, put on a brilliant show, gaining 25 yards in the final 220, to leave in the dust his favored Aggie foe. In his usual great style, Ernest let the other fellows fel-lows set the pace then swung in on the final lap like he was doing a 100-yard dash. Outstanding individual of the meet is listed as Brady Walker, also of Nevada and of the "Y", who copped firsts . in the shot, javalin and discus. |
