Show Co. X' Round-Up r " rv: Since "C" company has been here at Fort Lewis, we have really had a work-out, while taking our basic training over again. It is the same as we had the first 13 weeks at San Luis Obispo, only we are taking it in eight weeks this time. The cook's are enjoying enjoy-ing it, I am sure, because they both cook and chill. Everybody of Co. "C" likes Washington better than California because here we don't plan on seeing the sun, and we never do, and in California we planned on seeing the sun and never did. Passes were granted last week end to two-thirds of the Company for the first time since the fateful day of December 7th. Seattle and Tacoma were fiUed by Co. "C". Private Meade of Oklahoma was transferred to the 69th Engineers along with June (Buck) Sorenson and Grant (Gov) McMullin. The 69th Engineers is a Topographical Engineering outfit. With these two St. Georgers out of Company "C", there are only 43 original National Guard members mem-bers left in the Company. Private Joe. |
