Show Alumni Banquet and Program Honor World War I Veterans Honor to Alumni Veterans 'of the first World War furnished the theme for the 1942 Alumni banquet ban-quet program held in the Woodward Wood-ward high school gym Monday evening, May 18th, with Arlo Prisbrey, Wayne Prince, Howard Judd, Barbara Tweedie and Mrs. Roy Nisson as the committee in charge, and Mayor D. C. Watson as toastmaster. A short musical program by Pro. Earl J. Bleak and his college col-lege band preceded the , banquet and was enjoyed by many who did not attend the banquet. Tables were decorated with bowls of sweet peas and place cards were bronze folders carrying carry-ing the college emblem and the evening's program. Memories of their participation in World War 1 were given by Mathew M. Bentley, with tribute to graduates by K. M. Cannon, and response by Grant Cottam. Group singing of war songs lead by Vernon Worthen with Mae A. Pace at the piano; instrumental selections and speeches by graduates gradu-ates preceded the presentation of photos of all of the college presidents presi-dents to date by the Alumni. Election for next year's officers were Howard Judd, carry-over, Mrs. W. J. Reichmann, Waldo Brooks, Barbara Truman and Win-sor Win-sor Dalton. |
