Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mrs. Pearl Henroid has as her visitor, her sister, Mrs. Artie Davis of Los Angeles. Mrs. Henroid and Mrs. Davis have been recent visitors vis-itors at Salt Lake City, where they visited Mrs. Henroid's daughters, daugh-ters, and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Glade and Mr. and Mrs. Cun-dick. Cun-dick. Mrs. Davis plans to return to her home shortly. Mrs. Walter Thomas and two small children are at St. George, staying with Mrs. Thompson's mother for a short time, when she plans to join her husband at Cedar City, where he has employment. employ-ment. Paul Webb is employed at Cedar City, doing garage work. Mrs. Mary Hardy has been ill with the flu, but is some improved im-proved at this writing. Ora Hardy is visiting at Las Vegas with her sister, Mrs. Harris Marrill. The turkey plant at Cedar City has begun its fall work, of turkey picking. A bus from Hurricane is to run, taking anyone from Hurricane, LaVerkin, or Toquer-ville Toquer-ville to the plant each day and back at night. Mr. and Mrs. Max Woodbury have taken a load of Dixie Sorghum Sorg-hum into northern Utah. A fine representation of Relief Society workers from here attended at-tended the convention held at St. George last Sunday. LaVerkin furnished a special musical number, num-ber, whose words were written by Camilla Judd and the music by Mildred Sanders of the LaVerkin ward. Merlin and Clawson Leavitt of Mesquite were week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hardy. Miss Verle Button has gone to Las Vegas for a visit with relatives. rela-tives. The turkeys that were entered in the Ogden Livestock show, by Sanders Brothers, took all the ribbons rib-bons for both toms and hens. |
