Show MESQUITE Mrs. Daisy L. K.ltr Reporter A l;irn; crowd attended the Virgin Valley l'.-T. A. meeting Thursday evening. Mrs. Krma Thomas of St.. George Kav; a book review of "Giant. Joshua". The .sixth grade had the highest percentage of parents in attendance. Miss Verio Allen is now back to school after a five-week's absence ab-sence Ijecau-e of illness. Mr. and Mrs. William Brother-son, Brother-son, parents, of Mrs. Archie Hughes, spent the week-end in Mesquite visiting Mr. and Mrs. Hughes and friends. Mrs. Kverett G. Harris, who has been in Hawthorne for the past year, is here for a month's visit with her mother and friends. The annual quarterly conference of the L. I). S. church will be held in the Mosquito ward Mar. 22, church officials report. A new grand piano has been installed in the Virgin Valley elementary ele-mentary school, at Mesquite. It was put in by educational district No. 1. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Frehner, Mar. 7 at the McGregor hospital. Members of the 70 Quorum of the Mesquite ward, under the direction di-rection of Laurel Leavitt, went to Logandale, Sunday night and furnished the program for the L. D. S. Sacrament meeting. r, - |
