Show R0CKV1LLE Mrs. Philetus Jones Miss Marica Terry Reporters Mrs. Stephen Jennings, Mrs. El-win El-win Ballard, Mrs. James Jennings Jenn-ings and William Robert Langs-ton Langs-ton have returned from Salt Lake City where they have been for the past week. Mrs. Dale Despain and children have returned from Salina where she has been visiting her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones and daughter Alyce, went to St. George Sunday, to attend a family fam-ily dinner in honor of Paul Crosby Cros-by at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miles. Mr. Crosby is with the National Guard that leaves shortly for California. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan and Mr. and Mrs. Phelitus Jones have returned from Salt Lake City where they have been to buy a trailer house, which the Mahans will need when Mr. Mahan goes on his new job with the Parks in Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones went to New Harmony Sunday to visit with Mrs. L. A. Pace and other relatives and friends. Marion Hirschi has been chosen editor of the Buzzer for March. The school girls of Mr. Langston's room have cleaned the windows and the boys hauled soil for in front of the school house where a fence will be built and a new lawn put in. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Leavitt have returned from California where they have been the past three months. They visited with Mrs. Leavitt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hirschi, before leaving leav-ing for St. George where Mr. Leavitt has employment. Mrs. Afton Ballard attended the funeral services for her nephew, Sherwin James Peterson of Cedar Valley on Sunday. Clayton Hirschi has gone to work for Rulon Esplin on a ranch sixty miles northeast of Ely, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Terry entertained en-tertained their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Terry and David Timothy Tim-othy and other members of their family with a dinner in honor of Mr. Timothy's eighty-seventh birthday anniversary oh Mar. 6. Those from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schmutz and sons and Mrs. Pearl Eaton of Vernal. Mrs. Tom Sevy came Sunday night from Panguitch to visit with her mother, Mrs. Dee Lester. Maurice Orton came Friday from Panguitch to get his children child-ren to take back home. Mrs. Orton Or-ton remained to help take care of her mother who is ill. A number of parties are being given this week in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan and children, who are leaving Saturday Satur-day morning for Coolidge, Ariz. Mrs. Tom Foley and Mrs. Bill Pitto were hostesses to a Bridge dessert on Tuesday afternoon at the Zion cafeteria. Seventeen ladies were present. Wednesday evening the Rockville Pinochle club entertained in their honor. And Thursday evening the Zion Park Community club are entertaining enter-taining in their honor. On Friday evening, under the direction of the Rockville bishopric bish-opric a farewell party is being given for Mr. and Mrs. Geddes Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan. Mr. and Mrs. Brown have spent nearly a year in Rockville and have been very active in church and social affairs. The Browns are moving to Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Whit Gifford of Springdale and Mrs. Alice Russell Rus-sell went to Cedar City to visit with Mrs. Irene Stapley on Wednesday. |
