Show HURRICANE Miss Julia Whitney Reporter Miss Annette Wright, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright was taken to Cedar City Friday for an operation. Due to the seriousness of her condition, she is to be taken to Salt Lake City as soon as she is able to be moved. An apron and overall dance was sponsored by the Home Economics club last Friday with the object in mind of making enough money to take members of the club to the Home Economics festival in Sail Lake City in April. Prizes were given to the following: waltz contest, con-test, Wendell DeMille and Shirley Spendlove; Jitterbug contest, Pay-mond Pay-mond Weber and Mildred Brown; oldest married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Church; youngest married couple. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buchn; person coming the farthest distance. Merlene Stevens, who came from the B.Y.U.; other prizes were won by Arden Hirschi and Melvin Stratton. Weldon I lea ton left this week to be with the St, George National Na-tional Guard. Merlene Stevens was a weekend week-end visitor at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens. Audrey Ballard of B.A.C. was a week-end visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Ballard. |
