Simmons left early Monday . morning for Salt Lake City to attend the wedding of her sister, Miss Margery Crane, which will took place Wednesday after-i after-i noon in the St. Mark's Cathedral. Visiting over the week end with Mrs. Charlotte V. Atkin were her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Levanger of Glendale, and their son, Seaman Waldo Levanger, Le-vanger, who is home on leave from the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Neil H. Adams arrived Sunday from Springville where she has been since early in December De-cember with her sister and brother-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. O. B. Orton, while she was employed with Firmages in Provo. She left Tuesday morning for Kanab to visit with her sister, Miss Jean Cottam, and with her husband's family. M. 'if '- -re-Miss Joyce Wilkin tool the early Wednesday morning bus for Salt Lake City where she will visit with friends for two weeks. While there she will be joined by her fiance, SSgt. R. E. Dawson, Daw-son, who has just returned from nearly two years service in the South Pacific. The East ward makes preliminary prelimin-ary announcement this week of their annual ward day which is to be held in the St. George Recreation Rec-reation hall Saturday, May 6, and will include an afternoon bazaar, a program of skits, plays, music and readings, lunches and a dance at night. Miss Caroline Jensen played a piano solo. Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Esplin and small daughter came down from Orderville to visit over Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George H. Lytle, parents of Mrs. Esplin. Mrs. Esplin remained, their son being born Sunday morning, April 2. The Misses Erma and LaVina Blunck of Rexburg, Idaho, have returned to their home ofter spending twenty weeks at the Dixie Dix-ie College. Grant Graff, superintendent of the postal service at the Salt Lake ariport is returning home this week end after spending ten days in St. George, visiting his mother, Mrs. Julia Graff and other relatives. Along with his postal duties, Mr. Graff devotes much of his time to ward dramatics dra-matics and reports a recent production pro-duction of "Little Women". He spent part of Monday visiting the McCjuarrie Memorial hall and other ' places of interest in St. George. . if t- -re-Miss Arlene Emmons arrived Sunday from Los Angeles to spend the week with her mother, Mrs. Belle Emmons who has been residing re-siding in St. George the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hawkins arrived last week from Blanding for an extended visit with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hawkins Haw-kins and to do Temple work. Mrs. Evan S. Bunker, ex-senator and Mrs. Berkley L. Bunker and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bunker, all of Las Vegas, were Sunday visitors in St. George with their father, Martin Bunker and wife. Mr, Bunker is recovering from recent illness. , M. -K- & 'if If "K" Mrs. Elias Kemp of Ogden, the former Belle Maudsley of St. George, arrived last week to spend several days visiting relatives and working in the St. George Temple. A group of former school associates as-sociates met one evening last week and organized themselves as the OSP club. Their first meeting meet-ing was held at the home of Mrs. Merle Bostwick, who was elected president of the group. Cards furnished entertainment, Miss Maree Higbee taking high score. Visiting this week in St. George with Mrs. Samuel Barnhurst and family are Mr. and Mrs. Meltyre Barnhurst and daughters, Beth and Ann of Hatch, and their son, Pvt.
