Show Dixie College News Mr. and Mrs. Harold Higgins were St. George visitors during the week. Mr. Higgins is a Dixie graduate grad-uate and is now stationed at the San Diego Naval Training Station in the dental clinic. He reports that Robert Pendleton,' another Dixie graduate, is now a pharmacist's pharma-cist's mate 2nd class, with a mobile mo-bile unit working in the New Caledonia area. The Lantbda Delta Sigma club sponsored a theater party and pot luck supper last Friday Night. Proceeds from the show were used as the club's contribution to the college Bond Scholarship fund. D. J. C An outstanding part of the Girl's Day program on April 21, will be a dance revue, under the direction of Mrs. Pauline Christensen. Nearly Near-ly 50 students will participate in the revue, which will consist of all types of dancing. The revue will be held in the evening. During the day the girls will give an assembly as-sembly program and will conduct a fashion revue. D. J. C. Mrs. Norma P. Wright, Miss Roma Ro-ma Snow, Charles N. Merkley, Ray Whipple, Bob Covington and Dar-rell Dar-rell Smith took the Civil Aeronautics Aero-nautics ground test last Thursday Thurs-day here in St. George, with officials offi-cials of the C.A.A. from Salt Lake officiating. The1 off icials brought word that M. J. Miles had previously passed the commercial com-mercial flight test. Mr. Miles took the instructor test Thursday. D. J. C. "Resolved, That the United States Should Cooperate in Re-Constructing Re-Constructing the League of Nations," Na-tions," is the topic debated by 20 speakers from the Dixie and Hurricane Hur-ricane high schools Wednesday afternoon at the college. D. J. C Boys' Day will be observed Friday Fri-day at the college. An interesting program in which the boys imitate imi-tate the activities of the girls will be presented at the 11 o'clock assembly. In the afternoon a soft-ball soft-ball match will be played between the lower division boys and the rest of the studentbody. The boys will come en masse to the one-act one-act plays in the evening, following follow-ing which there will be a dance. |
