Show Funeral Services Held At Toquerville For James H. Johnson TOQUERVILLE, Utah. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m., Tuesday, April 4th for James H. Johnson, 66, long-time resident of Toquerville. He had been ill for several years and died of blood tumors. Bishop Leo Bringhurst was in charge of the services which included in-cluded a vocal duet b y Dixie Kleinman and Ruth Bringhurst, accompanied by Mrs. Bessie Fish; vocal solo, David Watkins of Cedar City, accompanied by Mrs. Watkins; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Beatty; and a violin solo by Mrs. Worthen Gregerson, accompanied by Mi's. Irma Bringhurst. Bring-hurst. Burial was in the Toquerville Toquer-ville cemetery, the grave being dedicated by Bishop Archie Klein-man. Klein-man. They made their home in Panguitch until October 1923, when they moved to Toquerville where they lived until September 1943, when they moved to Cedar City. He was a member of the Sunday school superintendency at Panguitch Pan-guitch for 9 years; was on the Toquerville town board for eight years and bishop's counselor for three years. Surviving him are his wife and the following children: Reed Johnson, John-son, Mrs. DeLos Rosenburg and Mrs. Wilford Bergstrom of Cedar City; Mrs. Ralph Whipple of St. George; Mrs. Ruby Nelson of Logan; Ralph Johnson, stationed at Camp Forrest, Tenn.; and Mac Johnson in the Hawaiian Islands with the U. S. Army. He also has three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilson, Wil-son, Burley, Ida.; Mrs. Martha Peterson, Cedar City and Mrs. Effie Deuel, Hatch. |
