Show The Center ward Primary will hold a special program in the stake Tabernacle at 6 p. m., on Sunday evening in commemoration of the 66th anniversary of the Primary. Mrs. Jessie Searl spent the week end here from Salt Lake City visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Empey. Jesse Short left early Monday for Klamath Falls, Oregon on business. Mrs. Tex Mosley and Miss Caroline Cottam returned last Friday Fri-day from spending the week visiting visit-ing in Pine Valley. Mrs. Alma Cottam and two sons and Miss Jean Cottam left Sunday to spend a week in Zion National Park. Mrs. Leo Croft visited 'in St. George last Thursday enroute to her home in OrderviTle after spending a 'month in California with her husband. TVtr. and Mrs. Jonreed Lauritzen visited friends in St. George last "week, guests while here of Postmaster Post-master and .Mrs. William Brooks. Col. and Mrs. Roy "Williams returned re-turned last Thursday from a business trip into Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hunt of Spanish Fork spent last week in St. George visiting relatives. Mrs. Helen F. Grey returned Tuesday noon from spending the week end in Cedar City. Mrs. Vinnie "Leeds of Los Angeles who has been visiting in Pintura with her father, Joseph Sylvester, and in Toquerville and Hurricane with other relatives, arrived Tuesday to visit her sister, Mrs. A. W. 'Gregarson, before returning re-turning to her (employment. Mrs. Spencer Truman and baby girl who have been visiting for a month at the home of her husband's hus-band's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Truman, left Thursday for Rose Mead, Calif, where they make their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Gubler. While here Mrs. Truman had the pri-vilage pri-vilage of visiting with Sgt. Rodney Chadburn, cousin of her husband, Captain Truman. Sgt. Chadburn reported having spent several days with Capt. Truman in April. When he returns to England, he hopes again to visit" with him and give him first hand information regarding re-garding the small daughter whom he has never seen. Miss Antoinette Mitchell returned re-turned last week from spending six weeks in Kanosh at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Ethella Avery. Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Landon and son, Gary, are here from American Fork for an extended stay. Mr. Landon who is a metalsmith is installing the new dust control system for the Utah-Idaho Sugar Beet Seed Factory. Mrs. Bud Lamoreaux, daughter, Jo Ette, and son, David, are spending spend-ing the week here from Las Vegas visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Milne. A group of 16 young war widows of St. George who have recently formed a Bridge club, held a chicken supper in the fields below town last Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Pace returned re-turned Saturday from a three-months' three-months' vacation in the New England Eng-land states and elsewhere. For two months they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew B. Pace in Boston, and made a trip to Buffalo, Buf-falo, New York City, and other points with them. Enroute home they visited in "St. Paul and Canby, Minn.; in Arlington, South Dakota Da-kota and at various other stopover stop-over places of historic interest. Arriving in Salt Lake City July 24th, they also visited at Coalville, Coal-ville, Provd and Logan, before coming home. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Craig and son, Paul, of "Sunnyside, Utah, left Wednesday morning after visiting vis-iting for several days with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Reynolds. Rouse Hall and in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hyatt. Mrs. J. T. Neilson entertained 14 grandchildren at a lawn party at her home Friday, specially honoring hon-oring two grandsons, Donald and Richard Neilson, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Neilson of Eagle Rock, Calif.-; and a granddaughter, Janet Burton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Burton of Salt Xike City, who are here visiting. Games were followed by refreshments. A shipment of fine quality sheets, table cloth sets and towels. Also spring-filled furniture. Seegmiller returned Wednesday from Salt Lake City, where she and Mr. Seegmiller attended at-tended the July 25th marriage of their daughter, Deola. and visited relatives. Mr. Seegmiller will spend the remainder of the summer sum-mer in Tremonton with Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Anderson. Mrs. Kate B. Empey and Mis? Florence Foremast er returned home last Saturday morning after visiting with Mrs. Empey's brother in Pico, Calif., for the past two weeks. |
