Fay Banks became the bride of T'Sgt. Rodney Chadburn of Veyo. i The couple were married at the f home of Mrs. Irma Banks, mother , of the bride, immediate family members and a few intimate . friend attended. The bride wore an afternoon dress of combined black and white I with a corsage of red rose buds. Miss Velma Webster was brides- maid and James G. Price, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Immediately following the ceremony the couple motored to Veyo to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. June Chadburn, parents of the groom. Sgt. Chadburn is home on a 30-day furlough after 13 months service over in the European war theatre with the Ninth Army Air Force. Before entering the service two and one-half years ago, he was employed for three years at the Allen Cash Store in Caliente where he and Miss Banks became acquainted. When Sgt. Chadburn returns to his overseas assignment, his bride will return to her employment as telegraph operator at the Union Pacific station, Caliente. While they were in St. George Friday, July 28, Sgt. and Mrs. Chadburn and his parents were honored by Col. and Mrs. Roy Williams with one of their well known hamburger dinners at their open fireplace. A small group of friends were present. Following the dinner, the evening was devoted de-voted to visiting and Sgt. Chad-burn Chad-burn related one or two incidents in his experiences overseas. While Sgt. Chadburn was in England he contacted relatives and spent several days at their home. He also had two short visits with his cousin, Captain Spencer Truman. |
