Show 4-H Club Reports The Victorious 4-H club held their July 17 meeting at the home of Miss Karlene Nelson and on July 26 at the home of Maxine Leany. On August 2 we met with our teacher, Mrs. Thomas Ward. We are busy finishing our project on children's clothing. Light refreshments refresh-ments are served at each meeting. Maxine Leany, reporter. The Busy Bakers 4-H club members are progressing with our lessons on preparation of meals. We are making copies of many good recipes which we lest at our club meetings. We are enjoying learning to cook. Marion Workman, Work-man, reporter. Mrs. Duke Sutton was hostess to the Thrifty Stitchers 4-H club at her home last Thursday afternoon. after-noon. We worked on our blouses and slips and are getting ready to begin work on our wool dresses. We are happy to have Mrs. Sutton Sut-ton back with as and know we can now make progress. Jean Bowler, reporter. The Stitching Cadets have their wool dresses well under way. Our teachers, Mrs. LeGrande Spilsbury and Mrs. Woodiow Seegmiller met with us at 6 p. m. Monday at the home of Mrs. George Seegmiller and checked on our work thus far. The Little fine Oxikers met July 20 for their second meeting of the year. The meeting was called to order by Pres. Betty Joan Burgess. Bur-gess. Sec. Valery Snow read the minutes of the preceding meeting. We then cooked muffins which turned out very good. The meeting was held at Mrs. Bob Fawcett's home. Dr. and Mrs. Roland Slurki wrote an interesting letter to u,,. j News this week along with their subscription, announcing the birth of a baby boy to them on July 15. Ir. P. club entertained at sw-mming party and picnic last I Monday evening honoring Mrs. Anihon Madvn, who is here vis-j vis-j iting. ! Mrs. Shir! Pitchforth and small daughter, returned Tuesday morn-j morn-j ing from Provo, where she had I been visiting with her sister, Mrs. I Morris Brooks for several days. |
