Show Complications Following Heat Exhaustion Cause Death of Peter kerson Peter Martin Iverson, 63, died at the local hospital Tuesday, Aug. 1st, at 1:15 p.m., of complications following heat exhaustion suffered while caring for cattle out in the hills near Mt. Trumbull, July 29. When found, he had collapsed, but was still conscious and was brought to the McGregor hospital. Born In Washington, Utah Born, Nov. 19, 1881 in Washington, Wash-ington, Utah, he was a son of Hans Peter and Hannah Christen-sen Christen-sen Iverson, both early L. D. S. converts from Denmark. He had his schooling in Washington and was married Dec. 23, 1902 in the St. George Temple to Lillie Bell Bundy. After their marriage they lived in Bunkerville and St. Thomas, Nev., then in Bisbee, Ariz., and in 1908 moved to Sonora, Old Mexico, where they lived until the exodus in 1912, when they returned re-turned to the U. S., a daughter being born in a refugee tent a few days after they crossed the border. They returned to Arizona, where Mr. Iverson worked in the mines at Douglas and Bisbee, before coming to St. Thomas, Nev. In 1917 they took up land on Mt. Trumbull, where they have since resided, farming and raising cattle. Both as a young man in Washington Wash-ington and later in other locations, loca-tions, Mr. Iverson was active in community and religious affairs. He served several years as deputy sheriff at Mt. Trumbull; has assisted as-sisted in various church organizations organiz-ations and at the time of his death was counselor to Bishop Chester Bundy in the Mt. Trumbull Trum-bull ward bishopric. Funeral Services Wednesday Funeral services were held at Mt. Trumbull ward hall, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Aug. 3rd, at 11 a. m., relatives rela-tives and friends attending from St. George and Washington. Surviving besides his widow are five sons, Vernon Martin Iverson, American Fork; Verl L. Iverson, Canyon, Texas; Floyd James Iverson, Iv-erson, Maywood, Calif. ; Cpl. George Clifton Iverson, with the Marines in the South Pacific; Lawrence Iverson.
