Show Robert Bodily To Celebrate Ninety-Sixth Birthday Anniversary Friday, Mar. i BY MABEL JAKVIS Robert Bodily will be 96 Friday March 9. One of the few living members of the famous 500 of the Mormon Batallion, Mr. Bodilj has a background of rich experience ex-perience and enjoys recounting the stories of western pioneering Better than six feet in height, he still maintains a military erect-ness erect-ness as he goes about his yards. He still splits up and carries in the daily wood supply. . Naturally reserved and quiet, he follows a regular routine of rest, reading and doing odd jobs each day, which gives him time also to visit with friends who call. A widower when he came to St. George in 1925 to work in the Temple, he met and married Mrs. Amanda Palmer. Mr. Bodily has eight living children, chil-dren, four sons, Levi, Joseph Henry, Christopher W. and Walter E. Bodily all living in the Uintah basin country and four daughters, Mrs. Lucy Wormsley, Ashurst, Ariz.; Mrs. Ann Hiatt, Lapoint, Utah; Mrs. Isabell Hacking, Ft. Duchesne and Mrs. Sylvia L. Richards, Vernal. His posterity today numbers approximately 175 including seven or eight great-great-grandchildren. |
