Show Hunt Reunion Held In South Ward Chapel Saturday Descendants of the late Isaac Hunt gathered for their annual family reunion in the south ward chapel Sat., June 17, at 5 p.m. The time was spent visiting informally on the chapel lawns until 6:30 p.m. when lunch was served to the 150 members attending. at-tending. At 8 p.m. the following program was held in the assembly hall of the chapel: Congregational singing of "Come, Come Ye Hunts", to the tune of "Come, Come, Ye Saints"; prayer, Royal S. Hunt, of Central; singing, "Haste Away"; reading, Marie Carter, Harvey Dalton Jr., Claud Cannon, Hal Russell, Helen Gardner and Dwane Hunt; interspersed inter-spersed with songs by Isaac Hunt Jr., Ralph and Margene Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux of Paragoonah, Eldine Hall, Dorothy DeSwan and Norene Fawcett, and a harmonica solo by Wendell Hall of Hurricane. The paternal Hunt history was given by Mrs. Mary E. Gubler and an address, "Why Have Reunions", Re-unions", by Edwin Gubler, both of LaVerkin. The annual reorganization placed plac-ed Mrs. Mary E. Gubler of LaVerkin La-Verkin as president; Orson Hall of Pine Valley, vice-president; and Marie Carter, secretary and treasurer. trea-surer. Following the program, dancing was enjoyed until 11:30 p.m. with benediction by Chester Hardy of La Verkin. |
