Show Lieutenant Cannon Flies With Squadron From Camp Bonneville, Boise, Idaho, comes word that Lieut! Howard W. Cannon, on two weeks duty, with the Engineers of the Nevada National Guard, has been engaged in bridge building, demolition demo-lition and camouflage work. He was in S'"' group which set off a 200 pound T.N.T. charge and several 25 pound charges. When Lieutenant Cannon last wrote he was expecting to make an engineering en-gineering observation and recon-noitering recon-noitering ' flight with a squadron of Colorado National Guard planes.. i There" are 2000 enlisted men and over 100 officers at Camp Bonneville. He is expected to return to St. George Sunday, June 25. .The necessary alterations having been completed at the Recreation hall, uniforms and rifles will soon be received. Each man will have an individual locker at the state armory so that his uniform will be neat and clean at all times. Recent additions to the roster of Company C, 115th Engineers are Melvin C. Fawcett, Clarence G. Ward and Phil E. Squire. Today (Thursday) the softbal team of Company C, ably managed man-aged by Private Max Bentley, will play the strong Firemen's squad. A close game is expected. |
