Show First Assembly Held At Dixie College; Plans Friday Meeting The first assembly of the year was held at 10:00 Friday, September Sep-tember 12, in the college auditorium. audi-torium. It was for the purpose of getting students acquainted with the faculty, student body officers, of-ficers, and to give new students at Dixie a few encouraging words on homesickness which becomes quite domineering the first few weeks of school. President B. Glen Smith took" charge and pointed out that it was the duty of the students who had previously attended school at Dixie to put themselves out to make the new students feel at home. It was also said that the best way to keep from getting homesick was to work and do plenty of it, The program was a follows: Introduction of faculty and student stu-dent body 'officers President B.
