Show Scout Jamboree Of Snow Canyon Dist. To Be Held Sept. 18 The Civic Service and Activities Activi-ties department of Scouting lias planned a District Jamboree of the Snow Canyon district council to be held in St. George, September Septem-ber the 18th. The purpose is to stimulate an early interest in troop activities and in preparation prepar-ation for the great National and International Jamboree to be held next year. The jamboree will be held on the grass lot west of the lot of John Schmutz, Sr., reports William Will-iam Brooks, publicity chairman of the Snow's Canyon district. A. A. Anderson, a director of the National Parks council will be in attendance. Scouts from every district wilL set up camp at 2 p. m., and remain until 7:00 a. m., the following morning morn-ing during which time they will participate in a number of events as follows: Jamboree Program 2:00 p. m. Troop and Patrol mob- ilzation and set-up camp. 3:00 p. mi. District opening and United States flag presentation. presenta-tion. 4:30 p. m. District Saparovan for every patrol. 6:00 p. m. Patrols cook and eat dinner. 7:30 p. m. Parents Bon-fire program pro-gram Community singing and each patrol will present in pantomine or act one of the scout laws. A special torch fire lighting ceremony. 9:45 p. m. Formal Closing Par-cents Par-cents and Scouts surprise treat. 10:00 p. m. Taps. Next Morning 5:00 a. m. Reveille Colors Mystery treasure hunt. Breakfast. Break-fast. 6:30 a. m. Closing ceremony. 7:30 a. m. Homeward bound. |
