Show RED CROSS DRIVE TO BEGIN HERE ARMISTICE DAY Plans for the coming American Red Cross drive to be held during Armistice Day and Thanksgiving were formulated by the local chapter officers during the past week with the assistance of Ben W. Carpenter, field representative. representa-tive. Mrs. Madge Cannon has accepted accep-ted the Roll 'Call chairmanship, and MY. Carpenter reports that he has contacted Rhoda Prince, Anthony Isom and Chauncey Sandberg are interestd in assisting assist-ing with the Roll Call. Movie films and supplies have been ordered ord-ered to help in informing the public of the work carried on bv the organization. " Miss La Vera McArthur and McKay Neilson were given three days "of water-tests and have been appointed examiners. Miss McArthur will serve as Life Saving Sav-ing chairman for the chapter. Others attending the water-tests were Rudy and Caraus Lortz and di,h nid Heher Reid. These tests were given by Mr. Carpenter Carpen-ter who was a member of the Olympic swimming team at New Amsterdam, Holland. First-aid Class Doctors A. W. and L. W. McGregor Mc-Gregor will alternate if necessary neces-sary to provide instructions for a general public class in first-aid. first-aid. This will be held at the college one night per week and will be started not later than six weeks from this time. In connection with this class, there will be first-aid stations established es-tablished at various points m the county. |
