Show DIXIE J. C. STUDENTS GIVE PIANO RETTAL A two piano recital was given in the tabernacle by the piano students Tuesday May 12, at 7:45 P. M. under the direction of Miss Clara Woodhouse, director of piano music at the college. The program was as follows: Schubert's "B Minor Symphony," first movement, and Moszkowski's "Valse Brillante," two eight-handed piano pieces played by Doris Tobler, Winnie Tobler, Hermese abbott, and Wanda Romney; Chopin's Cho-pin's "Polanaise Militaire" No 1 by Mary Sullivan, Fern Starr, Lela Lund, and Naomi Fordham; Felix Arndfs "Nola" by Winnie Tobler and Clara Woodhouse; George Gershwyn's "Rhapsody in Blue" by Evelyn Cannon and Miss Woodhouse. The first half or the program was composed of early classics while the last two numbers were modern style. Another program is to be given May 18th which will feature solo work. Miss Woodhouse invites all who are interested to be there. |
