Show ZlOX PARK CCC CAMP DXP-2's HAPPENINGS On Thursday evening. Chaplin Curtis, amiable "sky pilot" arrived ar-rived for an unexpected visit. The camp personnel immediately assembled and community singing sing-ing ensued. Next, a variety of vocal and instrumental selections were offered by a few of Zion's talented CCC's. Concluding the program for the evening. Chaplin Curtis delivered a stirring Columbus Col-umbus Day address in which he cited Columbus as a sterling example ex-ample of one who created ideals and fought for them to the' end. A final benediction was then offered of-fered by the Chaplin and the assembly closed. The following men from St. George and Hurricane were enrolled en-rolled at Zion Park camp DXP-2 October 19: LaMar Allsop. Walter Wal-ter L. Christian, Eartras Y. Davis, Chester S. McAllister, Clair L. Catenson, Ermal Stratton, LaMar J. Spendlove, Clarence C. Ward. Carlyle G. Wilson and Chester Wright. All of these men were enrolled and although camp life is quite distinct from life in the city, the y seem to fall in with the veterans quite easily. Thirteen more men, also' Salt Lakers, are expected to arrive at Camp DNP-2, October 25. |
