The Republican party in particular is showing- more ac-- ac-- ;ion than is usually the case. In the national race here in nah the most interest seems to center around Colton and King. Both men have made a strenuous strenu-ous effort to present their side o the picture. From here this race looks like a toss-up and will probably not be decided until un-til the final count. This year the Socialists have entered practically a full ticket here in Washington county. Most of their efforts have been centered cen-tered behind Mr. Brooks and ther are positive that their can- KC will b in fc- tha finish- Considerable effort has been made to see that all registered and the final count should show practically everyone xwho is able to vote, doing so. For Justice of Peace in the Springdal district the Democrats Demo-crats have nominated Elwood Dennett for Justice of the Peace and Freeborn Gifford, Jr., for Constable. The official ballot shows no other candidates running run-ning against them. This is also the case in the Ivins precinct where Harmon Gubier is running for Justice of the Peace and Lyman Canfield tor Constable both on the Republican Re-publican ticket. At Central the Democrats have nominated Grant Keyes, for Justice Jus-tice of the Peace and Rex Lea-Titt Lea-Titt fr Constable. They have competition.
