Show C OF C. AUXILIARY HOLD IXTERESTIXG MEETING The Auxiliary of the Chamber of Commerce held their regular monthly meeting in the Court House on Thursday evening, October Oc-tober 25th. One of the speakers of the evening, E. J. Pickett gave a very interesting talk on the civic responsibilities as well as household house-hold duties, every woman in this community take and should take in the progression of our town. Mrs. Frank W. Penrose of Salt Lake City who is chairman of the Women's State Democratic asso-I asso-I ciation spoke to the organization j on "Women's responsibility to our government." Mrs. Penrose is a former Dixie girl and said j it rather brought back memories to go into the room where she ha: learned her ABC. Mrs. George W. Worthen of Provo, who is also a former Dix-ieite Dix-ieite was also asked to say a few words. The hostesses of the evening who served delicious home-made candy were: Charlotte H. Atkin, Leah Cannon, Mary L. Miles, May M. McAllister, Maude Gardner, Gard-ner, Ann Macfarlane, Lyle Meach-am, Meach-am, Neda Lightner, Alice Cannon, and Ida Linder. |
