Show J. G. HUNT DIES IN SANTA CLARA Jefferson George Hunt, aged 76, who came to this section of the state in 1361. died Thursday night at his home in Santa Clara from cholera-morbus. cholera-morbus. He was ill less than two days before his death and up to that time was in good health. Funeral services were held in Santa Clara Friday under the direction of Henry Graff of the ward bishopric. The speakers were former Bishop E. R. Frei, Herman Gubler, Adolph Hafen and Henry Graff. Interment was in the Enterprise cemetery. Funeral services ser-vices were also held in Enterprise on Saturday. Jefferson G. Hunt was bom at Little Cottonwood, October 19, 1852, the son of Amos and Nancy Garrett Welburn Hunt. With his parents he came to Dixie in 1861. They later moved to Clover Valley, then to Hebron where he lived until the settlement was abandoned, moving thence to Enterprise. Enter-prise. He moved to Santa Clara about fifteen years ago. He has devoted much of the past fifteen years to work in the St. George temple. In 1871 he was married to Celestfa Terry; in 1903 he married Mrs. Ro-setta Ro-setta Atkin' and on April 16, 1921, he married Mrs. Nancy Stucki, who survives sur-vives him. The following children of his first wife survive: Mrs. Frank Winsor, Mrs. J. R. Bamum, Mrs. N. W. Bowler, Jefferson G., Jr., Elmer and Amos Hunt, all of Enterprise, and Mrs John S. Hulet of Ogden. |
