Show SANTA CLARA SANTA CLARA. Sept. 11. Mrs. Clair Hafen left for Cedar City last week to spend some time there. B. Glen Smith of the Dixie College vas with lis in our sacrament meeting Sunday. He gave us a talk on education, educa-tion, which was enjoyed by all those present. Miss Voile Stucki returned home from Pioche, Nevada, last Sunday where she had been for some time working. Jefferson Hunt passed peacefully away to the Great Beyond last Thursday Thurs-day evening after a short illness of two days. Mr. Hunt will be greatly miss as he was dearly loved by all who knew him. His funeral services were held here and then the body was taken to Enterprise for burial. His wife accompanied the remains to their last resting place. Miss Verna Tobler is spending a few days at Littlefield visiting. Hyrum Gubler has been ailing with rheumatism for a few days. Dr. LaVerne Daly, optometrist, spent Monday here on business. He will establish es-tablish offices in St. George. Miss Eula Leavitt left for Las Vegas last week to spend some time, t Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Frehner of St. Thomas, Nevada, stopped here for a short visit on their return from the Cedar City rodeo. Mrs. Jacob Frei left for Provo last week to spend some time with her daughter, Mrs. Walter Cottam. Miss Ina Bleak of St. George spent several days here last week with her ' sister, Mrs. Archie Gubler. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wittwer spent Sunday at Hurricane on business. |
