Mrs. Howard Miller arrived here on Tuesday from Salt Lake City to visit her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Seph Smith of Beaver arrived here Tuesday to visit with Mrs. Smith's brother, William S. Morris, Sr. Mrs. Alex Milne spent the latter part of last week in Cedar City with her husband. George Taylor of Parowan underwent under-went an operation at the local hospital hos-pital Monday. T. R Pascal, of the Aet.ii Life Insurance In-surance Co. office at Salt Lake City, was a business visitor at 7.ion aril in St. George Saturday. Miss Mildred Marshall returned on Monday from Cedar City where she spent a week with Mr and Mrs Ashley Ash-ley Marshall. Wallace Macfarlane of Cedar City was in St. George Monday on his way to the ranch of Fern Esplin's on the strip. The Misses Vera and Verna Harmon returned Sunday from Los Angeles and Riverside, Calif., where they spent a few weeks visiting. Mrs Howard Bringhurst, daughter Miss Florence and son Loren and El-win El-win Slack of Toquerville spent Tuesday Tues-day visiting in St. George. Mrs. Ovilla Empey was pleasantly surprised last week when fifteen relatives rela-tives came and spent the evening with her. A delicious dinner was enjoyed, the principal feature of which was the large birthday cake containing 67 candles. Mrs. Mary Oxborrow returned to her home at Kimberly, Nevada, Tuesday after spending ten days with her daughter, Mrs. James McArthur here. Miss Madge Morrill is visiting with friends, here this week. She will go on to Enterprise where she will teach school this winter. Mrs. Anne Price returned Monday from Grass Valley where she spent a week with relatives. She was accompanied ac-companied home by her sons Mike and Blaine who spent the summer there. Milton E. Moody, principal of the Enterprise school the past year, has moved to Hurricane where he will assume as-sume a like position in the school there. Mr. and Mrs. George H. Lytle and family have returned to St. George from Monument ranch where they spent the summer. Mrs. Evelyn Perry, daughter, Miss Kae, and son Conrad of Cedar City, were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cannon Can-non here Sunday. Miss Kae remained here for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith and family of Salt Lake City came in on Tuesday to visit Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Miles here. Donald Kraack wil spend the winter here with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Nelson and Miss Elida Snow left Tuesday for Provo where they will spend the winter win-ter at B. Y. U. They were accompanied by Mrs. E. B. Snow who will spend several days visiting in Salt Lake. James Judd and family of La Verkin Ver-kin spent Monday here, Mx. Judd to attend the meeting of the county commissioners. They returned to their home Monday night accompanied by Mrs. Lamond Stratton and two children chil-dren who spent the past week with relatives here. P. W. Nelson who has spent the summer at the sawmill on the Kaibah, has retumsd to St. George. Fern Esplin stopped in St. George Monday on his way to his ranch on the strip, Mr. and Mrs. Dean A. Clark and daughter Aldeen left Monday for Provo and Salt Lake City to spend several days. Grover Shakespear left the hospital Saturday. He is recovering nicely frorr his recent operation. O. M.
