The annual meeting of the To-querville To-querville Livestock Association was held in that town Monday night for the purpose of electing elect-ing an advisory board for the coming year and general transaction trans-action of the association's business busi-ness as it affects the forest service. ser-vice. , The following members were present: Seymore T. Stapley, Ray B. Naegle, John T. Beatty, Joseph Sylvester, Howard Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, L. S. Kleinman, H. L. Naegle, James Z. Naegle and Forest Ranger Ben Swapp. The advisory committee was reelected as follows: Seymore T. Stapley, president; A. - B. G-regerson, vice-president; Ray B. Naegle, secretary and treasurer. treas-urer. Range division between sheep and cattle was agreed upon and Ranger Swapp outlined the service ser-vice policy in sanitation and range protection, and asked for the cooperation of all in the improvement im-provement of range conditions, and better methods of handling stock. A better method of checking stock entering the forest was taken up and the association voted to use metal tags which will be furnished by the forest service with a serial number and the word "Dixie" on each tug. If this system is put into effect it will necessitate the construction con-struction of a corral with suitable suit-able chute eliminating the necessity ne-cessity of handling the cattle. |
