Show HEAP BIG RAIN Rain started here last Friday night and continued intermittently until about ten o'clock Wednesday morning during which time two and one-tenth inches of rail fell. It is the best fall of rain hereina numberof years, coming com-ing down slowly and giving the thirsty thirs-ty ground a thorough soaking. During Dur-ing the fore part of the stormy period snow fell at all altitudes over 3300 feet in this section, but this changed to rain Tuesday night except on the higher mountains, and will probably cause floods in the Santa Clara and other streams. Wednesday afternoon the sun came I out clear, bright and warm, and the I storm appears to be over.. Untold benefit to farmers and ' stockmen will result. Everybody is ; feeling good over the promise of good crops and range the coming summer. |
