Show LA VERKIN E. J. Graff made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Born a son to Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford, April 21. La Verkin M. I. A. held their ward honor day April 19. Two one act plays were presented, Miles Wallace was the only one who tried for public speaking and Pauline Church for the retold re-told story. Dixie College presented present-ed three numbers. Mrs. Tell Gubler has returned home after visiting several weeks with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gregerson in ot. George. The La Verkin grade school had an enjoyable trip to Zions Canyon Friday. They were chaperoned chap-eroned by thier teachers LaFell Iverson, Fay Stirling and Mrs. Vida Duncan. Ashby Hardy of Salt Lake City is here visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Hardy. Word was received Saturday of the death of Dallas Barnhurst. grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Sander's. This is the first death in their family of nine children and twenty-one grand children. Those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Wilson and daughter. Mrs. Edward Gubler. Mrs. Irene Skiliman and daughter daugh-ter Irene Carrol of Las Vegas. Nevada- are here visiting relatives. The Toquerville Junior Seminary Semin-ary students furnished the program pro-gram in our meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wickley Gubler and family returned home from St. George where Mr. Gubler has been working the past few weeks. |
