Show ANNUAL CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN NOW ON; PROGRESSJS NOTED St. George is now in the midst of a season of clean-up activity. The city has supplied blanks and appointed an inspector to inspect the premises of the citizens. citi-zens. These blanks are signed by John H. Cottam, city marshall ; Orval Hafen, city attorney and Cecil Haycock, inspector. The inspector for the clean-up campaign reports very good cooperation co-operation among the citizens of the city, especially in the northwest north-west section. Unsightly fences, rubbish heaps, uncovered ditches over sidewalks, corrals, weeds, etc. have been taken care of and the city begins to take on a clta'iier appearance. A follow-up inspection will be made on or before the 12th of May, to see if the recommendations recommenda-tions of the inspectors have been complied with. The truck which hauls away the rubbish placed in front of the premises will be around next Saturday. Citizens are asked to burn whatever rubbish possible and limit the trash placed in the street to cans glass and waste of this nature. |
