Show NKS I'LACF.S UXKMI'LOYKI) MEN Due to the increase In employment em-ployment by private industry and by. the PWA, the National Reemployment Re-employment Service placed 154 more men at work in Utah during dur-ing the week ending April 14 than it placed during the week ending April 7, George A. Yager, director of the NRR for Utah, announced today. This slight gain in employment employ-ment was offset, however, by an increase in the number of unemployed. unem-ployed. There were 1772 more people seeking work on April 14 than on April 7. The distribution of new placements place-ments among employment groups shows that during the week ending end-ing April 14, 3 per cent of the placements made were with the CW. 63 per cent were with the PWA and 3 4 per cent were with private industry; whereas, during dur-ing the week ending April 7, 13 per cent of the placements made were with the CWA, 61 per cent were with the PWA and 2 6 per cent were with private, industry. |
