Show Vernal Scouts participate in Project SOAR Cub Scouts Boy Scouts and Leaders of District 8 all took part in SOAR Day Save Our American April 19 by cleaning the road East and North to the city dump THERE WAS a total of three dump truck loads and a couple pickup loads picked up in the three hours of cleaning The dump truck was furnished furnished fur fur- by Uintah County with Ward at the wheel County Deputy Sheriff Harold Cook was on hand to keep the traffic under control The Forest Service provided the plastic sacks for the clean up At the dump gate all the boys and leaders met and enjoyed a much needed can of pop TIlE THE POP was donated by Ashton Days Safeway IGA and McNeill's Market with the ice being furnished by the Vernal Elks Elk's Lodge No 2375 All the boys qualified for all pertinent awards badges t a and d etc tc for the three hours put in m they also qualify for the the Project SOAR patch which can be ordered at the District Pine PineWood PineWood PineWood Wood Derby Race April 30 30 at pm p.m. at the Jr High School for a nominal fee |
