Show Macscr 1 Eloise Rllen Parker I lau ugl Wimpy's Place has new management As of Feb. 1, Wimpy's Place has been under the ' new management of Jack and Arlene Gardner. It's a family affair as they have one daughter working full-time, full-time, another daughter working part-time part-time and one part-time junior high student stu-dent also employed. After several days of scrubbing with cleanser, detergents, and disinfectants, the State Health Inspector rated Wimpy's Wim-py's Place with a 91 percent in cleanliness. Jack still plans to do his carpenter work as soon as mother nature permits. The Gardners live at 1363 North 300 West. Rebecca Parker spent the weekend home visiting her parents Johnny and Eloise Parker and grandparents Marion and Nellie Allen. Rebecca is a senior at Utah State University in Logan. Iva Collotzi of Salt Lake City is spending spen-ding some time in Maeser visiting her brother Chuck and Chloe Woodward and her sister Mable Murray. Val, Cheryl and HeiDce Woodward will be visiting their families Bud and Emma Thomson and Chuck and Chloe Woodward for the long weekend. Val works for First Security Bank and is training to become a bank manager in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Mr. and Mrs. James Drollinger and Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Bigelow have skipped our chilly little valley and are on a Carnival Cruise to Bermuda. Since September 1, Country Cash has been under the new management of Cal Dee and Cathy Reynolds. Their goal is to stock up the entire store and have prices which will compare with the big supermarkets in the area. There will be fresh meat and fresh produce each day. There are seven full and parttime employees. They plan to add a postal service of money orders and postage stamps. The store hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closed on Sunday. The Reynolds have four children and their oldest son Kyle is on a mission for the LDS Church in Columbia, South America. Last week all of the students of the Uintah District Learning Center were invited to the Vernal Theater to see "Cinderella." Last Friday the students held their Valentine's Day party, and they decorated the room with their brightly colored Valentine's sacks. Eloise Parker, the Maeser correspondent, is in the hospital this week for therapy on a leg she broke earlier this year. She hopes to be home by this weekend. |
