Show Vans to celebrate Golden Anniversary The children of Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo (Doc) Van invite friends and relatives to an open house honoring their parents on their golden wedding anniversary. The open house will be held Friday, Feb. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kiwaftis Scout House at 1st N. 250 E. They request no gifts. Voice of By Joan Janes The February Blood Pressure Clinic will be held on Feb. 22. There were 140 attending dinner on Monday, Feb. 15. Special entertainment en-tertainment was provided by Hedy and Paula Hodgkinson singing several songs. Melba Woodhouse accompanied them. Also on the program was Louesa Hacking telling stories of the choice experiences of raising her children. We appreciate these ladies' talents and great sense of humor. Next Wednesday we will be honoring all February birthdays. On the menus for next week: Friday, Feb. 19 Italian delight casserole, green beans, jello salad, carrot and apple salad, garlic bread, brownies and ice cream. Monday Feb. 22 fried chicken, potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, fruit salad, tossed green salad, rolls and butter, frozen raspberry pie. Bingo winners for Feb. 9 were Meg Goodrun with six games for first place. Second place with four games was Alice Mott. The Valentines Day dance Friday, Feb. 12 was great fun. Cake, ice cream and punch were served to a sweetheart of a crowd. Guests at the dance were Mr. and Mrs. Heath Spackman from Lewiston, Utah. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cal Jorgenson. Happy birthday was sung to Bry and Virginia Wamsley . First-timers at the dance were Edna Soltis and Marguerite McFarland. |
